The private onsen in our family room was a fantastic highlight.
One downside was the walk to the central hot spring area, which took about 15-20 minutes and could be quite tiring.

Had a blast at Eidaya! The personal onsen was great, and the warm, cute vibes made all the difference. Just watch out for the uphill walk back from town, a little tiring but worth it for the fresh air. Highly recommend it!

central spot for soaking in kusatsu's charm and culture
The hotel's easy access to key attractions like the Kosenji temple just a few steps away and the Kusatsu Onsen Netsunoyu only a short stroll makes it a fantastic base for exploring the local area. The warm welcome from the friendly staff and delicious traditional meals. Just be prepared for the uphill walk back from the town center, but the fresh mountain air is a nice bonus.
